Loló: the real deal! Non-traditional Mexican food you can’t miss! And they cater!

San Francisco is home to one of the largest Latino populations in the country. The Mission District is the place to go if you want to immerse yourself in Spanish-speaking stores, shops and restaurants. There are so many Taquerias and Mexican restaurants, it is hard to take your pick, but if you really want to have some real tasty Mexican Cuisine, not merely food to fill your belly, I have the place for you!It took me a while to try Loló. I heard it was pricy, and I just couldn’t imagine amazing Mexican food outside the regular Family owned neighbourhood restaurants in the Mission. No offense, I just didn’t want to spend more money for the same thing.

What I found was a chic and warm atmosphere. The service was excellent. Everyone who works there seems to really want to be there! The dishes were artfully presented, served on beautifully original modern plates.

The food: a surprise! Wow! Delicate and intense flavours mixed exactly right. No, this is no regular restaurant. This is an art on a plate and a pleasure for the palate! All their ingredients are local and organic, a total plus!

The price: Not pricy for the experience, because eating at Loló is an experience!

If you live in the Bay Area, you have to go! And if you are in a pinch, they are catering during the holidays.  Loló menu
