Who likes to be told what to do? Few of us, but there are ways to ask for things, and give instructions without sounding rude. The tone you use is very important when using the command form in Spanish.

We use it for multiple purposes: orders, suggestions, and instructions.

VERBOS REGULARES

Pasar Correr  Abrir
pasa corre abre
Usted pase corra abra

VERBOS IRREGULARES  CON DIPTONGACIÓN  UE/IE/I

Cerrar  Encender  Pedir
cierr enciende pide
Usted cierre encienda pida

VERBOS IRREGULARES

Poner  Venir  Ir  Hacer  Decir  Tener
pon ven ve haz di ten
Usted ponga venga vaya haga diga tenga

VERBOS REFLEXIVOS

*El pronombre reflexivo queda al final.

Levantarse  Dormirse
Levántate Duérmete
Usted  Levántese Duérmase

In the following video, there are three short stories. Try to find the command form verbs they use: Enjoy!
