Easter is not all about eggs and chocolate! In Spain we have another dessert you might try: Torrijas! You can’t hide them around though, it might get too messy!

Torrija is a dessert served during Lent or Holy Week in Spain. It’s close to the popular “French toast,” but can be soaked in wine, milk and lots of honey and cinnamon.

My grandmother used to make them every year, and back then, as a child, I didn’t like them. But as I grew up, I started to develop a taste for them and now I miss them! Hope to be making them myself this Easter. How about you?
